When you come to this page, you may want to find out the information about how to add Shaders in Minecraft. You are at the right page as here we are going to share that information. Now, you only need to read this entire article. Make sure you do not miss any information.
Here are steps to Add Shaders in Minecraft:
STEP 1) DOWNLOAD & INSTALL OPTIFINE
You have to note that Shaders is not technically a mod. Shaders is a graphics pack which is installed in a similar manner to texture packs. Shader packs are not supported by Vanilla Minecraft. In this case, you have to install Optifine in order to get them up and running. So, your task now is to download and install Optifine.
STEP 2) DOWNLOAD A SHADERS PACK
You are going to find tons of different Shaders packs out there. For this case, we have made a complete list of what we consider to be the best Shaders Packs for Minecraft. Some best Shaders Packs for Minecraft are Continuum shaders, Cocapic’s Shaders, Sonic Ether’s Unbelievable Shaders, Sildur’s Vibrant Shaders, and BSL shaders. For your information, all of the shaders packs are verified to be working with the latest version of Minecraft and Optifine. Therefore, you do not need to worry about version incompatibility. Shaders packs are typically very resource intensive. We cannot suggest you to play Minecraft with Shaders if you do not have a good desktop PC. Some high-end gaming laptops may be able to run Shaders, but those may have a problem depending on when they were released.
STEP 3) OPEN YOUR SHADERS FOLDER
After you have your desired Shaders pack, now you will be able to go ahead and open the Minecraft launcher and play the Optifine version. When you are on the Minecraft main menu, you are able to click the ‘Options…’ button. Then, you are able to click the ‘Video Settings…’ button. On the next page, you are able to click ‘Shaders…’. You are almost there. At this time, you have to click the ‘Shaders Folder’ button in the bottom left of Minecraft. A folder window will open up. Finally, you are where you need to be.
STEP 4) INSTALL THE SHADERS PACK
This step is where you will get the Shaders folder. When you are here, it is actually easy enough. You just need to take the shaders pack you downloaded in step 2. This is most likely in your ‘Downloads’ folder or on your desktop. After that, you have to move it into the ‘shaderpacks’ folder you just opened. After you have already done that, you are able to close out of the folder, and restart Minecraft. Please be sure when you are opening it back up you are selecting the ‘Optifine’ version. After you are back in Minecraft, you are able to redo step 3, but stop just before opening the ‘Shaders Folder’. You will be able to see the Shaders pack you just installed on this screen. Just click it. Please click ‘done’, and go play some games of Minecraft.
