iCUE is necessary to have a custom profile for the cooler. Q-FAN control will not do anything. Where can you find iCUE profiles? For your information, iCue saves profile info in %APPDATA%\Corsair\CUE.
EXPORT AN ICUE PROFILE
To back up your iCUE profiles and macros, you are able to export the profile into a cueprofile file on your computer. You are able to import this profile back into iCUE whenever you want to restore your modified settings. To export an iCUE profile, you have to do these steps:
- At the first step, you have to open iCUE.
- Then, you have to choose the device that you want to export the profile of.
- After that, you have to find the profile you want to export on the left side of the screen.
- In this step, you are able to click the Menu button (appears as three horizontal lines).
- The next step that you have to do is to click the Import/Export button.
- Please click the EXPORT tab in the IMPORT/EXPORT PROFILE section.
- Now, you are able to click the Export button.
- Name the .cueprofile file and select where to download the file.
IMPORT CUSTOM PROFILES INTO ICUE
With iCUE, you are able to create and export custom profiles for you and others to use. If you have already downloaded someone else’s custom profile, so you will be able to import it into iCUE and make your own modifications to better suit your needs. Also, you are able to link a custom profile to a game so that the profile becomes active whenever you play your game. To import a custom profile, you have to follow these steps below:
- At the first step, you are able to open iCUE.
- Then, you have to click the Import/Export button in the options tray next to the PROFILES section.
- Now, you need to click the button under “Select Profile for import.”
- The next step that you have to do is to choose the profile you want to import.
- You are able to use the checkboxes below to select what profile features you want to import, then simply click Import.
- When it’s imported, you are able to make any additional changes that you want.
LINK A CUSTOM PROFILE TO A GAME
As we said before that you are able to link a custom profile to a game so that the profile becomes active whenever you play your game. If you want to link a custom profile to a game, you have to follow these easy steps below:
- At the first step, you have to Select the profile in iCUE.
- After that, you have to click the … button next to “Link profile to program.”
- Then, you are able to choose the .exe file of the game you want to link the profile to. Just it.
- Finally, you are able to link a custom profile to a game so that the profile becomes active whenever you play your game.
