This article will inform about a new and certainly interesting shader called Parallax Shaders. For those who are not familiar with Parallax Shaders, it is the name of a project with the purpose to make your world more realistic due to more dynamic shaders and more realistic shaders.
This project will change your world in Minecraft Bedrock Edition (for Xbox), since the game does not have a smooth transition of textures. Currently, this one is either too dark or too blurry. With the new shader, there will be a balance of textures, and all thanks to the new technique and numerous tests, the rays and lighting will be more static.
Parallax Shaders was made from scratch and to what we have today, with a little help from OpenGL. It was created in DirectX, meaning the players are able to use it for the Xbox. Unluckily, this shader has not been tested on the other devices.
Parallax Shaders features:
- HD shadow casting
- Bump mapping/POM (for all texture packs 3D)
- Realistic night time and darkness
- Light sources realistically illuminate surrounding blocks
- Realistic, clear, vibrant weathers, lighting based on weather and time of day
- Realistic water animations, transparency, and color
- Realistic illumination and shadows
Available versions for changelog:
- 1.0.1
- 1.0.2
- 1.0.3
- 1.0.4
- 1.0.5
- 1.0.6
The description was changed to comment on the Xbox compatibility after the 1.13 update.
The water color was changed, made the sky more realistic (clouds, sun, moon) changed the transparency of the water for realism. This one is a huge update. For the textures: changed the color map, it was too saturated before and updated some of the item textures
Removed 1.13 support, because it does not work on 1.13. The creator is working on a 1.13 version and will release it when it is officially out.
The description is updated, because the creator has OCD and has to correct the smallest misprint or typo.
Some bugs are fixed, the high-resolution background the creator had caused some problems for mobile users so he removed it.
The description was changed to add a disclaimer, and added additional information regarding the pack.
Supported Minecraft versions:
- 1.11
- 1.12
- 1.13
- 1.14
Resolution
- 128x
- Shaders
Parallax Shaders has the ability to bring the most dynamic and realistic shaders Minecraft Bedrock Edition has seen. As stated before, a lot of shaders are too dark or too washed out and that ends with parallax shaders. As for this one, it introduces techniques that bring the players the closest to the static ray tracing through rigorous testing. It was built from the ground up in DirectX with minor use of OpenGL that means Full Xbox support.
If you have a plan to download the Parallax Shaders, you can just find the download link provided by a lot of websites. Once you have downloaded the shaders, it is time for you to install it. To do so, the first thing that you need to do is to tap on the file that will be installed automatically. Then, open the game, choose Settings, choose Global resources, and find your shader.
