Do you like playing Valorant? Well, this game is new but a lot of people have been playing this game. As a Valorant player, you may want to attend some competition of this game and you need the Valorant Community Competition guidelines. So, here we provide you some information about it.
You are able to read the guidelines in the Valorant site. However, here we will resume it for you.
So, there are three types of competitions including small tournaments, medium tournaments, and major tournaments. What are the differences? Here they are.
The Process of Application
For Small Tournaments, there is no application needed. You are granted a Community License by adhering to these guidelines. For Medium Tournaments, there is a custom license required and you have to apply to your Regional Riot Esports Team. For Major Tournaments, a custom license is required and you have to apply to the Global Riot Esports team.
The Fees of Entry
You may charge an entry fee for your Competition. The revenue of the entry free must be used solely to help offset the Competition Costs or towards the prize pool of the Competition. You may crowdfund to help offset the Competition Costs. But, any and all contributions from crowdfunding must go directly to the prize pool for the Competition or to the Costs of Competition.
Prize
For small tournaments, the total value of your prize pool may not be more than $10,000 USD or $12,000 in non-cash prizes. The total value of your prize pool including cash value of non-cash prizes, across all competitions you organize in a calendar year may not be more than $100,000 USD without prior approval from Riot. For Medium Tournaments, the total value of your prize pool may not be more than $50,000. The Total value of your prize pool including cash value of non-cash prizes across all competitions that you organize in a calendar year may not be more than $200,000 USD without prior approval from Riot. For Major Tournament, Riot may contribute to your prize pool.
Broadcasting
For Small Tournaments, you may be able to broadcast your competition online and may stream on whatever online platform that you like. You may not charge fees of any kind of spectators to watch the competition. In case you broadcast your competition online, you are responsible for making sure that any accompanied chat is moderated to prevent abusive, vulgar and other bad things. You have to toggle off Show Blood in the Valorant Settings. It is prohibited for all other forms of broadcast like Linear Television.
For medium and major tournaments, you have to abide by the Broadcast terms set forth in your custom license. In case you broadcast your competition online, you will have the responsibility for making sure that any accompanied chat is adequately moderated. It is done to prevent vulgar, abusive, or an otherwise mean spirited environment. In addition, you have to toggle off “Show Blood” in the VALORANT settings. In case Riot promotes your competition, contributes to your prize pool, and/or helps monetize your competition in any way, you may be asked to promote Riot social media accounts and/or channels during your broadcast.
